Bohus, Sweden, August 30, 2007 - Eka Chemicals, Akzo Nobel's Pulp and Paper Chemicals business, will increase the price of sodium chlorate effective immediately, or as contracts permit, by 15-30%.
“Due to current cost and market conditions we are forced to further increase the price of sodium chlorate globally. The target is to create a long term sustainable business to the global pulp and paper industry”, says Lennart Nilsson, Director Global Marketing, Eka Chemicals.
